Always fascinated with the arts, comic books and colors, Gabriel Rocha was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, developed a big interest for design very early. He started his professional career at 17 years old, working for small companies, learning the good n’ old photoshop. Along his first job Gabriel joined a Graphic design college in Rio. After working for several small studios and companies, gathering experience as a designer and making some very close friends (such as Illustrator, After Effects, and others), Gabriel graduated in 2005 and became more focused on motion graphics.
Four years working as After Effects animator and Compositor, working hard and improving his design skills, GR took the decision to become a fulltime freelancer.”Great decision” he says, after that he worked for studios like, Digital Kitchen, Nakd, METAphrenie, Bigmachine, Trace, Perception, and others. Mr. Rocha is still a freelancer in Rio de Janeiro, working remotely or in-house for studios all over US, South America, Canada and Europe.
